I think what motivated me to make this stunning lil creature is she was wearing a pompom in her pattern. Ridiculously enough, the pompom was the hardest part for me and I still can't perfect a perfect fuzzy orb.
However, Lil Miss Pippa is all that I could wish for.
She is made of an incredible Alpaca Wool by Drops. I had to buy two skeins of gray to make her and the only place I could find the wool was in the UK.
Fine by me, as I discovered a superb online store that was inexpensive enough that I could justify the cost of shipping to Canada. And it is the most lovely yarn!
I put little wire armatures in her hands so that they would gently bend at the wrist. She is filled with polyfill and poly pellets so that she is a nice heavy feel, which I always love in my WhatKnots.
Her face is handpainted.
Her dress is also made by Drops but in a softer, finer alpaca.
She took me a few weeks to make but I do love her so
